Sooooo the big question: how much does it cost? I always hate this question because I don't want my clients to be "all about the price" (when it should be "all about the experience and quality") but we have to start somewhere!
A basic studio session will start at $399 and includes our pre-session consultation and design plan, and use of my HUGE client wardrobe and the fitting appointment that goes with it, the actual session which is NOT timed (I do things a little differently), your in-person proof-viewing ordering appointment and all the creative work and knowledge involved. It does not include any images as you need to actually see the images to decide what you want: albums, wall images, folios, canvas, metal, acrylic, comps and so on. There is no pressure to buy any images at all if you decide not to. I do offer a la carte and packages and I can email the pricelist so you can see options and pricing before your session.
Of course, every session is custom to the individual and everyone wants something different, so pricing can change. Will we need an assistant? Are we shooting in a location that requires fees like a ballroom or the botanical gardens? Do we need to rent a camel, a car, a boat, a hot air balloon...? Do you want to shoot with a horse (or unicorn)? How much of a fantasy do you have in mind and do I need to make or purchase certain props for you? And so you can see where a session can end up at a different price than a "basic" session, as those are things that all have to be added on. But if you just want a "normal" studio session, you are good to go at $400. Local locations, such as a park or cityscape has a small fuel fee, depending on how far.
I offer payment plans for orders over $500 (3 months) no interest.

FAQ
How long does a session take? Your session is NOT timed! I know this sounds a little different than most photographers, but I don't want you worrying about time, I want you focused on the session. That said, most sessions run about 2 hours or so, not including the time for hair and makeup, if you choose that service.
Can I have a change of clothes? Yes, certainly you can, even if it is from the client wardrobe. I suggest limiting this to no more than 3 outfits.
What if I only want one image? There is never any pressure. You purchase only want you love and want. I offer a la carte for such needs.
Do you only offer prints? what about digital imagers? I offer high quality, heritage prints that come with a social media digital image. Digital storage is changing constantly (remember floppy disks? no?) even cd's and dvd's are becoming obsolete. Lost phones or damaged phones lose our valuable images. So, I make sure you have a social media image of your chosen prints, that you can share on-line, to go with your prints which will last 100-200 years! Digital only images are generally reserved for models that have agencies with digital portfolios and promotion, however if that is really want you, you can certainly have that.
What if I need a hair and makeup artist? I have a few great HMUA you can choose from. They are not my employees and you will pay them directly. They understand how to do makeup for photography and will follow the directions you (and I) give them.
When will I get to see my pictures? I usually have proofs ready to be viewed within a few days. We will make an appointment for your viewing either at your session, or I will text you to let you know they are ready and you can let me know when is a good time to view. You will view a basic Light Room, color corrected preview of the images, and select which ones you would like to purchase. Those will be the ones edited.
What payment to you accept? I accept cash, check and zelle. I have cashap, paypal (use for visa) and venmo for digital payments. There is a fee to use the digital payments (not zelle) as most charge 4% plus a fee, you only pay what they charge.
Do you edit the images? Yes your images will go through an editing process, (photo shop) however this is done to be as natural looking and believable as possible. Generally, I clean up skin, lighten under eye bags and discolorations, whiten teeth if needed, and fix any makeup smears. Sometimes I will remove stray hairs, fix imperfections in clothes and so forth. Extensive editing or extra editing not included will incur a fee, however, you should see the finished product before requesting further editing. For boudoir sessions, I also remove cellulite and "smooth the line" or "smooth the silhouette". Also, my edit colors are more true-to-life, so I do not have orange people or denatured greens (such as green trees that look black or grey) which is a trend right now. If you request this, I can certainly accommodate you, however, it will not stand the test of time and I suggest you don't.
How long does the proof viewing appointment take? I reserve 2 hours for your proof viewing/ordering appointment. This is usually enough (unless a wedding) If you need another appointment, it is $50, so please try to make your selections at this time. I will help eliminate, give options and suggestions and help with getting exactly what you need. All decision makers should be present.
